Where is SWGalaxies.net?
We purchased this domain name from the previous owners in order to spread our message to those that need it, the youth that visited the previous fansite. Some of the previous staff members, after listening to our causes, joined our organization. After we move to MASWG.org we will continue to use this domain for redirecting. The SWGalaxies fansite will never return, even if the SWGalaxies.net staff members wanted to, which they don't.

Who are we?
Mothers Against Star Wars Galaxies (MASWG) is a group of concerned parents who feel that the impact Star Wars Galaxies has on our youth is negative, and stems growth in critical areas such as social skills, critical thinking, athletics, and body hair.

What do we do?
We do our best to spread the word about the evils of Online Gaming. We believe that all parents should be aware of the severe damage that the so called 'entertainment industry' is inflicting on our children. The capitalists in the silicon valley should not be allowed to pollute our children's minds with such extreme wastes of time and energy.

What do we offer?
We've gathered a number of articles by highly placed doctors and medical professions regarding studies done about online gaming. All of them point to only one horrible conclusion: That online gaming is slowly turning our young into mindless drones; coerced into playing by carefully constructed addictive scenarios and millions of dollars of research into the young mind. The companies making these products are purposefully exploiting our youth and purposefully turning them against us. Don't worry, it's not too late, though! Just read some of these outstanding articles:
  • Everquest Addict leads life of crime to pay for Addiction
This article talks about the life of a young male youth who had to turn to a life of crime in order to pay the monthly fee for each of his 37 Everquest accounts. In the end, he was declared criminally insane and cut off from his addiction. The companies running these games did nothing to stop this appalling act, and took no responsibility for their actions when the case came to court. Disgraceful!

  • Fans waiting for Star Wars Galaxies riot in South Africa
About five hundred youth rioted in the South African city of Erehwemos less then a month ago after waiting over a year to play a game that will undoubtedly send their lives on a spiral course for ruination. All in all, 24 youth were jailed overnight, and their parents were forced to pay bail! Their parents! Where was Sony during all of this?!

  • Scientists link 'Lack of a social Life' to Online Gaming
This article is the result an extensive project covering young gamers in 69 different countries. Over 90% of people under then age of 10 who constantly played online games had not and/or did not currently have a girlfriend. With numbers like these, it's amazing that the human race has survived the last ten years of online gaming abuse!

  • Children playing online games lose 5 IQ pts a month, study says
A study by doctors in the small European nation of Tsrif Lirpa last week is conclusive evidence that online games such as Star Wars Galaxies, Everquest, and Asheron's Call cause an immediate and extreme loss of intelligence, grace, and good looks. Beware! If your child is stupid, clumsy, or ugly, he or she may already be playing Online Games!

  • How can you show support?
Show support for our cause by emailing us or filling out our online petition to stop game companies from making more of these atrocious online 'role-playing' games. You can email us at maswg@swgalaxies.net and fill out our petition at http://www.petitiononline.com/maswg/sigantures.php.
Don't let it get your son or daughter! If it does, cut off it's UPC!

Star Wars Galaxies encourages your child to kill small animals, which leads to bigger and more horrible things!

If you see your child staring wistfully at this symbol, don't hesitate! Call the authorities immediately to have the symbol surgically removed from your household.
