We passed a major milestone here on
the Star Wars Galaxies; the end of Beta 1! On November
1st, we officially entered Beta 2. This beta will
add a couple thousand more testers to the mix. Together
they will focus test advanced game systems and push
the limits of our servers. We are still in closed
beta, which means the testers aren’t allowed
to talk about what they do and see, but every Wednesday
I drop by the Discussion Forum to give a detailed
update on the progress of the beta.
If you are hoping to join in Beta 2
or Beta 3, please recheck your profile information
and beta application on the site. We’ve had
to pass over some applicants because they had bad
information (like a defunct email address).
In November, we’re going to continue
with our robust community schedule (bi-weekly team
comments, weekly beta reports, Q’s Queries,
Friday polls and Friday FAQs). We’ll put out
some more screenshots and we’ll likely host
an open developer’s chat toward the end of the
month. Stay tuned for details on that.
Additionally this month we will reveal
the names of our first 20 servers (there will be many
more added when we release) so you can start to coordinate
with your friends and player associations about where
you will play.
