Submission Information and Instructions

A community thrives on the input and participation of all its members. With this in mind, SWGalaxies.net has attempted to make itself as community like as possible; therefore, we love to post your contributions for the good of the community. However, there are a few simple instructions that you must follow in order for your submissions to be accepted. Please read these carefully before sending us anything.

Submitting News
If you wish to submit a news item or event advertisement, please fill out the form located here. If you have a file or larger news post you wish to submit, please send an email to staff@swgalaxies.net.

Submitting Screenshots [of the day]
Screenshot of the day submissions should be uploaded into the FanImage Database with the 'allow this image to be used as sotd' option checked. Only images that are submitted in this fashion will be considered for the Screenshot of the day.

Submitting Articles
If you wish to submit an article (either an editorial or a top ten list), please send an email to staff@swgalaxies.net with a subject of "Article Submission". The email must include:

Your name. It doesn't have to be your real name - just whatever you want to be the author's name under the title.
Your email address. Please include the email address that you wish to be attached to your name. If you do not want your email address posted, please state as thus.
Article title. You must include a title for your article, preferably one that can capture attention and yet not be too long at the same time.
Article summary. Please include a short summary for your article. This will be featured in the Latest Articles section below the poll. Again, please make it catchy, but don't make it too long either.
Article itself.
- Editorial - For an editorial, please separate the article into pages (5 maximum, 1 minimum) by noting the beginning of each page in the email.
- Top Ten List - For a top ten list, simply include the count down in the email.

Submitting Links
If you wish to submit an link that pertains to Star Wars Galaxies, please send an email to staff@swgalaxies.net with a subject of "Link Submission". The email must include:

Site name. We need the title of the site.
Site URL. We, of course, need its URL.
Site Description. A brief description of the site.

Submitting Database Items
Database entry additions or updates should be emailed to staff@swgalaxies.net with a subject of "Database Addition/Update". The email must include:

Entry name. If it's an addition, a new name. If it's an upate, include the name of the current entry.
Entry Description. What you think the new entry or update should say.
Other. If you're submitting a location, please include coordinates. Don't forget to include your name and server (optional) in order to get credit for the update.

Submitting Glossary Terms
If you wish to submit a glossary term, please send an email to staff@swgalaxies.net with a subject of "Glossary Term Submission". The email must include:

Glossary term. The glossary term must be included (eg - "Thermal Detonator").
Glossary definition. Of course, the term's definition must be included. HTML in the definition is allowed.
